The new Nike English Premier League match ball has been released with the new ball sure to cause extensive debates on whether the flight of the ball has changed etc. etc.

The new match ball is white with blue and orange detailing and is called the Nike Total 90 Ascente ball.

The new Premiership match ball is said to favour strikers rather than goalkeepers as a lot of work has been put into the accuracy and flight of the ball butwe will need to wait until the season starts to see the true effects of the new ball.

The new ball has a polyester support fabric structure with a micro textured suface (to increase accuracy and ball control), a 3-layer premium constuction (to increase range and velocity), a performance graphi (to increase tracking anywhere on the pitch) and a 360 degree sweet spot (for increased consistency). Not sure what exactly all that means but the ball certainly look good at least.
