Senegal will not unfortunately take part in either the World Cup next year or the 2010 African Nations cup after failing to qualify for both tournaments. Senegal finished third in group 6 behind Algeria and Gambia.
Even though Senegal don’t have an appearance at a major tournament coming up they have released their new home shirt which they will wear for qualification of the 2010 African Nations Cup. Puma continue to manufacture the football shirts as they do for a lot of African nations. The Puma logo will appear in the centre of the chest and on the top of both shoulders in red.
The new Senegal home kit is following the same template as the other Puma shirts this year with an image from the countries logo, in this case a lion, being on the right sleeve. The base colour for the shirt is white both sleeves and the right shoulder being light grey. There is green detailing around the sleeves and collar.
