Italy have released their 09-10 home shirt for the Confederations Cup. where they will face the USA, Egypt and Brazil.

The new Italy home shirt is deigned by Puma and comes in azure blue with Italia repeated diagonally across the shirt. The Italy badge, complete with the 4 stars representing the World Cups they have won, is on the left with the Puma logo on the right.There is also a strip in the three colours of the flag down the right of the shirt.

The Italy Confederations Cup football shirt is deigned on a 1930’s style with v-neck to commemorate the World Cup victories in 1934 and 1938.

The new 09-10 Italy shirt is available for pre-order now.

   Why must shirt manufacturers insist on making “slim fit” shirts. Let’s be honest here a large majority of football supporters, no matter club or country preference, don’t look right in this style of shirt. However, I do understaand that in todays modern era it is all about the science and a slim fitting shirt may although allow a player to run a nano-second quicker than normal.

   As for the design it is quite good. Nice and simple and I think the tri-colour beading down the side adds and nice, subtle touch of colour.
