New Portsmouth 3rd football kit 2009-10

Portsmouth haven’t started the 2009-10 season very well and look early season relegation favourites especially after a summer of watching their top players leave and no replacements coming in.

Portsmouth have released their new 3rd shirt for the 2009-10 season. The shirt is black with blue horizontal stripes. There is blue detailing on the collar and on the shoulders.

Canterbury still manufacture the shirts but they have now been bought over by JD Sports while Jobsite continue to sponsor the club.

New Portsmouth football jersey 2009-10

Portsmouth have lost a lot of their top stars and have yet to bring replacements in for them. The club has been linked with a number of takeover bids but nothing has gone through yet. The departure of players from the club has made Portsmouth early favourites for relegation but hopefully they will be able to survive the drop.

Portsmouth have released their new home shirt for the 2009-10 season with the shirt again being manufactured by Canterbury.

The new Portsmouth home shirt is the clubs traditional blue colour with white detailing on the side of the shirt and on the collar. The home shirt will be worn with white shorts and red socks.

New Motherwell away shirt 2009-10

Motherwell kicked of their season with a draw away to St Johnstone at the weekend but will be hoping to get their first win of the season next weekend.

Motherwell have released their new Canterbury away shirt for the 2009-10 season with the Canterbury logo on the right chest and sleeves and the club badge on the left chest.

The new Motherwell away shirt is maroon with orange stripes running across the shirt, the shirt also has maroon sleeves and a maroon collar.

JD Sports Complete Canterbury Takeover

After the news a couple of weeks ago that Canterbury were in trouble and heading into administration it has now been announced that the ailing company have been taken over by JD Sports.

JD Sports recently bought shares in Kooga but it is believed the two brands will remain separate and will continue to trade under both brands.

The deal for Canterbury is thought to be worth around £6.5 million and in clude some fixed assers, the brand name and goodwill. JD Sports will run the European arm of the company rehiring some of the 72 workers laid off after the administration announcement but the Australia and New Zealand arm willbe run by a third party but licensed by JD Sports.

Canterbury have lways been known for being involbed in Rubgy but over recent season they have started to increase their interests in the football market.

New Portsmouth away football kit 2009-10

Portsmouth have released their new away shirt for the 2009-10 season. The kits will continue to be manufactured by Canterbury with the Canterbury logo appearing just below the collar of the shirt and at the top of both sleeves.

The new away shirt is mostly white with two blue stripes down the left side with blue detailing on the sleeves and collar.
