The new Celtic home jersey is manufactured by Nike with their logo on the right chest and the club badge on the left. The shirt is the traditional green and white hoops of Celtic with a diamond type pattern in the green stripes. Tennents are the new team sponsors and will be across both the new Celtic and Rangers shirts.

The new Rangers shirts for the 2010-11 season are manufactured by Umbro and are part of the brands tailored range. The new design for the Rangers home jersey is very much a retro look which should prove popular with the fans if the sales of the other retro style Umbro shirts is anything to go by. Tennents are the new sponsors for next season and their name will be across the front of the Rangers home kit.

The new Hibs away shirt is mint green with the club logo on the left chest and the Puma logo on the right. The new away shirt will be worn with mint green shorts and dark green socks. It is strange for the away shirts to be the same colour as the home shirt, it is a different shade but it is still green.

Carling are the current sponsors for both teams with the deal starting in 2003 but with the deal set to come to an end in June it doesn’t look as if they will be renewing the deal and instead their rivals Tennents look like being emblazoned on the Old Firm shirts next season.

The new sponsorship deal is thought to net both Clubs around £1.5 million per year. Tennents are also said to be in negotiations to extend their deal with the Scotland National team.

As a fan of Chelsea, I actually prefer Rangers to Celtic. However, this is an excellent shirt and actually my favourite of the three Celtic have released this season. As I have a Scottish family, I also feel it is an excellent shirt to celebrate my Scottish heritage. Marc-Antoine Fortune is an excellent striker and a force to be reckoned with in the Champions League. This shirt features his name which is a testament to his terrific goalscoring ability.

Rangers are in group G of the Champions League where they only have one point from two games at the moment but with the group looking very competitive Rangers have a fantastic opportunity to go through as it looks to be a three way fight for second spot between Rangers, Unirea Urziceni and Stuttgart with group leaders Sevilla expected to clinch top spot.

Rangers have released their new 3rd shirt for the 2009-10 season with Umbro continuing to manufacture the football kits and Carling continuing sponsorship of Rangers.

Rangers have decided to go a slightly different marketing route with their new third football shirt. The slogan is ‘Wear it anytime, anywhere’ as they seem to be trying to make the shirt a more casual item that can be worn more often than just at football or playing football. Some of the marketing pictures of the new Rangers 3rd shirt the players are wearing jeans instead of shorts.
