In more Arsenal shirt news the away shirt for next season will be returning to yellow which will be a change for the current seasons shirts.

The new 2010 Arsenal home shirt looks like being one of the most popular shirts next season and most fans are eager to see the new designs.

Nike will continue to manufacture the Arsenal home shirt next season and although it is though that the club will release a commemorative shirt it is not known whether they will only wear it for one match, like Spurs did, or if they will wear it all season.

2011 marks the 125th anniversary of the club and they look set to celebrate this by wearing a more traditional retro style of shirt similar to those first worn by the club.

There are no confirmed reports yet what Arsenal will do to commemorate their anniversary with some thinking that they will only wear the shirt in a one off game the way Spurs did but after the success of the maroon shirt last time around it is likely that they will wear the shirt all season.

Although Arsenal have been around since 1886 it wasn’t until 1925 when they first started having white sleeves on their home shirt but they have stuck ever since and are a trademark of any Arsenal football shirt now.

STYLE

This Arsenal away jersey has a whole new look in comparison to last season. Rather than the bright yellow of the previous campaign, the kit is now a deep blue with sky blue streaks giving a pin-stripe effect. The traditional collar follows the same theme whilst the sponsor, ‘Fly Emirates’, and Nike ‘swoosh’ tick stand out in their bright white appearance. Fabregas sits above his number, 4, in the same white lettering and looks very professional and smart. Also, the sky blue outline on the sleeves gives a nice finish to the top.

QUALITY

Nike is clearly a greatly established company who exceed in providing high quality kits. This Arsenal kit is no different. It matches the club’s nature as it is striking yet not too imposing. The material is good and a brilliant option for those budding sportsmen and women looking for a new shirt to wear whilst playing football.

VALUE FOR MONEY

This new Arsenal away kit is great value for money in my opinion. The shirt looks stylish and accomplished and with Fabregas’ name and number present on the back, extra quality is added. It will no doubt appeal to Arsenal fans and maybe even Spanish fans that follow Fabregas’ fortunes. I highly recommend it to anyone, as it is a kit that is excellent in so many ways.

Arsenal play in the English Premier League and finished last year’s campaign in 4th behind Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. Arsenal play all their home games at The Emirates Stadium, which is a 60,000 seated stadium. The Stadium is given the nickname “The Emirates” by supporters and players alike.

Arsenal have won many honours. There domestic honours include 13 top division titles, which include 3 Premier League trophies, 10 FA Cup victories, 2 League Cup crowns and 12 Charity Shield wins.

On a European level Arsenal are regarded as one of the big teams in Europe, however their European successes do not reflect this at all well, having only won 1 Cup Winners cup. However Arsenal where close Champions League Runners up in 2006 to FC Barcelona, only narrowly in the final moments. It surely wont be long before Arsenal pick up their First Champions League trophy as they have been looking strong in European competition in recent years.

The Arsenal home kit features a mainly red design; however have white strips down both sides of the shirt and the same down the sleeves. The Shirt features the famous Nike tick in white, to the wearer’s right, and on the wearers left the famous arsenal badge. The Shirt makes use of the Nike fit technology which allows players to keep cool whilst working hard on the football pitch.

Overall I think this is a nice shirt design in which the Arsenal team will look very good in, in the coming season. With the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott, Robin Van Persie and many more featuring in this shirt, its bound to be a hit with the supporters.

The 09/10 Arsenal away shirt is a smart shirt that I really like.  It is produced by Nike who have been Arsenal’s kit manufacturers since the mid 90’s now.  The pinstripes look very nice and I’ll definitely be buying this one.  Beforehand Arsenal have had a few blue away shirts as well as the recent yellow shirts and a white shirt as well but I think this one is the best of the lot.  I do like shirts with collars as well so that’s a bonus.

It’s a bit different to the others with the pinstripe and will look great on the players and will go well worn by a fan with a pair of jeans.  I can’t wait for it to come out,  being worn by Fabregas, Arshavin, Van Persie and co and it’ll be interesting to see the new boy Vermaelen in Arsenal colours as well.  There will be lots of different names on the backs of peoples’ shirts for the new season but I would expect the most popular name and number to be that of Fabregas, the current captain and midfield maestro.  Lets hope the new Arsenal away kit  brings the gunners lots of success and silverware in the new season.  It will be great to create a bit of history in this shirt and to bring back the first trophy of the Emirates era.
