Blackburn have released the images of their new away shirt with the shirt set to go on sale on the 29th of April. The new Blackburn away shirts are manufactured by Umbro with the Umrbo badge on the right chest and the Blackburn badge on the left.

The new Blackburn away shirt is part of the Tailored by Umbro in England range with the colours of the away shirt being red with black detailing on the collar, the ropes of the shoulders and on the side of the shirt.

New Morten Gamst Pedersen Away Kit

Since his arrival at Blackburn in 2004, Morten Gamst Pedersen has wowed the rainy north west with a glittering away of world class goals and assists. He has quickly become a fans favourite at Ewood Park and it is easy to see why this shirt may be flying off the shelves. Especially in the Sam Allardyce era, a player of Pedersen’s skill becomes highly popular with the fans due to the physical and perhaps aesthetically displeasing nature of Blackburn’s play. If I were a Blackburn fan, I would definitely add Pedersen’s name and number to my away shirt as he is a top player, and I would especially enjoy pretending to be him whilst attempting to score some 30 yard screamers!

The shirt itself is a very nice design, plain white with a blue and red trim. This different use of Blackburn’s club colours is very creative and interesting, however I find it unusual that the away kit would be white when the home shirt is blue and white halves! Perhaps then this purchase would be slightly unneccesary as the club will rarely be able to wear the shirt on the pitch. The collar is a standard design and the club crest is displayed traditionally over the left breast which contributes to the high quality of the shirt. Umbro usually make quality shirts with an intensely durable quality so this function would be highly recommended. However the actual design is lovely and I would highly recommend this shirt if you are a fan of Blackburn and want to add an away shirt to your collection.

Overall, it is a nice shirt and I would definitely want the name of Pedersen on the back of any Blackburn football shirt that I purchase. However the away kit itself may rarely be worn by the team which may make it an unusual purchase.

New Bolton away football shirt 2009-10

Bolton have released their new away kit for the 2009-10 Premiership season. The new away shirt is manufactured by Reebok with their name in the centre and their logo on the red end of the sleeves. The Bolton badge will appear on the left chest.

The new Bolton away shirt is navy with a red stripe on the right shoulder and red stripes at the bottom of the shirt. There is also red detailing on the shirt sleeves.

New Blackburn away football kit 2009-10

The new Blackburn Rovers football shirt is a very nice and tidy looking jersey. I think white is a smart colour for a football kit in itself and with the piping round the shoulders, collar and at the bottom of the shirt it all adds to it with contrasting colours. The shirt is manufactured by Umbro, who have been producing football equipment for many years. I think Blackburn’s kits were previously made by Lonsdale but they have recently changed manufacturer to Umbro. The sponsors logo of Crown Paints is easy on the eye and the font used for the lettering blends in smoothly with the thin style of the piping on the shirt. This is a nice contrast to the home shirt although both kits do have a lot of white but I think this is the best away shirt that Blackburn have had for some time now.

Blackburn Rovers did not have the best of starts to their league season just gone, but with a change of manager came a change of fortune and they ended up out of the relegation battle when the season came to a close. They have some key players such as Santa Cruz, Samba, Nelson and Gamst who played a key role in keeping them up. If I was to choose a player to have on the back of my Blackburn shirt I would probably go for a player who recently retired from competitive football, Tugay.

He played for quite a few years in Blackburn colours and I really liked his skill and determination. His experience and know how will be sorely missed in the dressing room and it will be interesting to see how things develop for Blackburn in the new away strip in the new season. But lets hope the new away strip brings them a bit of good luck to progress in the coming season.

New Blackburn Rovers home shirt 2009-10

Blackburn Rovers have started their preparation for next season early by releasing their new home football kit for the 2009-10 season.

Umbro will manufacture the new home shirt which will in the traditional blue and white colours. The shirt will be white on the right with a blue sleeve with blue on the left and a white sleeve. Crown paints will continue to sponsor Blackburn next season.

The club badge is on the left chest with the Umbro badge on the right.

The new Blackburn Rovers home shirt for the 2009-10 season is not quite available for purchase but is available on pre-order now.
