Comparisons are being made between the shirt and the Marseille away shirt and there are definite similarities. The new Chelsea shirts are manufactured by Adidas and the new Chelsea home shirt has proved very popular so far with the fans.

The new 2010-11 Chelsea home shirt will again be manufactured by Adidas with their badge on the right chest and the club badge on the left. The Adidas stripes are on the shoulders again in white. the Chelsea home jersey is the clubs traditional blue colour and the collar seems to be white with some red detailing.

Chelsea have released their new Adidas 3rd shirt for the 2009-10 season with the logo appearing under the collar and the traditional threes tripes running down the shoulders.

The new Chelsea 3rd shirt is white with thin grey stripes running round the shirt. The shirt has black detailing around the sleeves and the collar, the shirt will be worn with white shorts and socks.

Chelsea play in the English Premier League and finished last year’s campaign in 3rd behind Manchester United and Liverpool. Chelsea play all their home games at Stamford Bridge, which is a 42,000 seated stadium. The Stadium is given the nickname “The Bridge” by supporters and players alike.

Chelsea have won many honours. There domestic honours include 3 top division titles, which include 2 Premier League trophies, 5 FA Cup victories, 4 League Cup crowns and 3 Charity Shield wins.

On a European level Chelsea are regarded as one of the most powerful clubs, however their European successes do not reflect this at all well, having only won 2 Cup Winners cups and a Super Cup. However Chelsea where close Champions League Runners up in 2008 to Manchester United, only narrowly losing on penalties. It surely wont be long before Chelsea pick up their First Champions League trophy as they have been looking strong in European competition in recent years.

Chelsea’s new home kit features an almost completely blue design with the exception for the clubs badges etc. Featured in the centre is a panel design segmented into 5 parts. In the central segment are Chelsea’s shirt sponsors Samsung logo. To the wearers left is the famous club badge and to the right is the adidas logo, the shirts kit manufacturers. The kit also features the adidas stripes down the sleeves.

Overall I think this is a nice shirt design in which the Chelsea team will look very good in, in the coming season. With the likes of Frank Lampard, John Terry, Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda and many more featuring in this shirt, its bound to be a hit with the supporters.

Manufactured by Adidas, the Chelsea away kit features a rather unique design for the Blues, not dissimilar to the Champions League shirt worn by Internazionale a few years ago.

The Chelsea away jersey will feature blue and navy horizontal stripes. The Adidas logo as well as the club badge and the Samsung sponsorship logo will be displayed in yellow.

The lion holding a staff which appears on the crest will be reproduced at the back of the neck in white. The Adidas 3-stripes will be yellow and the sleeves will have a yellow trim.

The Chelsea football kit gained popularity as the revolution started when they were taken over by Roman Abramovic, and then the success kicked in when Jose Mourinho was installed as manager.  Mourinho knew what it took to be a winner and it definitely showed in the seasons to come.  The team then went on to win back to back Premier Leagues and the rest of the footballing world started to take note.  They have since then always been there or thereabouts at the end of the league season and have had success over the years in the FA Cup, beating Manchester United in the 2008 final and beating Everton in the 2009 final. 

It is hard to see them not being within a few points of the league in the coming season.  There are plenty of star names to chose from to put on the back of your Chelsea football shirt as well, other than the names mentioned you could also pick from the likes of Anelka, Joe Cole, Ashley Cole, Bosingwa, Alex, Obi Mikel and others.  The famous Chelsea song “blue is the colour” is what they sing in the stands at the bridge, and that song definitely applies to this shirt.

This also make the person who is buying this buy it because it makes people look cool. Also if you are a supporter of the club you would like to but it because you want to buy the team kit to show the club that you support the club and you want to be in with the club.

It also makes money for the clubs and shops so the people who are supporting the club are basically giving the club money and shops to show that they want the team to be a great success and want them to win more cups and win more games.

Also it is good because it is a nice shade of blue and it stands out from the other clubs like when you see people on T.V they stand out from the other club shirts. Plus it is good because you can have your name on the back to show who you think can be your favourite player and the player would appreciate the fact that people are having there name put on the back.

So that is why I think that the Chelsea football shirt is really good and people should buy it and show the club that they respect them and they want to be part of the club.
