Manchester City have released their new Umbro away shirt for the 2009-10 season with the Umbro badge placed on the right chest and the club badge on the left.

The new Manchester City away shirt is black with gold detailing around the shoulders, the kit will be worn with black shorts and blacks socks.

Tevez enjoyed two very successful seasons at Manchester United winning th league both season, the Champions League one and getting to the final the second year. Man City are hoping that signing players of Tevez quality that they will be able to get a get into the Champions League.

Manchester Ciy, although spending big this summer, have struggled to attract a bi name to the club. Last season after the Abu Dhabi Group took control of the club they signed Robinho which was thought to be the first of many top name signings, but until the capture of Tevez it had been a frustrating transfer window with the club being unable to sign a lot of the big names they were attempting to sign.

The fee for Tevez is thought to be arounf £25 million which was paid to his owners MSI group, it is a lot of money for the player but he has a proven record in the Premiership that adds a lot to his value.

The new shirt designs which are trying to bring together all the elements of the football club are an excellent change from what they had as they try to evolve into the next super-club in the Premiership after the investment they received last summer. The club confirmed the details and influences for the new shirts.
“The home kit combines design elements from the past with new technology, refined detailing and a tailored aesthetic. Each seam on the crew-neck shirt has been carefully considered and selected for a specific function and the crest has been extensively re-mastered to bring a new level of detail to the club’s identity.”

“The away kit is a nod to Manchester’s symbol of industry and coat of arms – the Apis Millifera – more commonly known as ‘the bee’. The shirt is black with yellow and gold inserts on the shoulders used to define and accentuate the upper torso.”

“The third kit draws its inspiration on a classic kit of the past, whilst embracing craft and attention to detail to create a very modern twist. The shirt has a black and red sash across a white base with the team sponsor located under the crest to ensure that the visual identity of the sash is not compromised. Umbro worked closely with MCFC and Etihad to ensure the design authenticity stays true.”

The new Man City football shirts are set to be launched some time this month and are available for pre-order now.
