Barcelona or Barca as they are more affectionately known, are one of the most famous football teams in the world, having deeply cemented themselves in the worlds football elite. The current European champions have won many titles in there long glamorous history, comprising of, a staggering 54 domestic titles including 20 Spanish league titles and 12 European competition titles, including 3 champions league crowns, in which they added to this year. They defeated ex-Champions of Europe, Manchester United in the final held in Rome, billed as one of the most competitive to date, as both teams were practically indistinguishable in form.

With a team like Barcelona with all this history, it is only fitting that their kit represents all this, and the new home shirt does not disappoint. The new Barcelona home shirt 09-10 brings a return to the multi-stripped red and blue design seen in previous seasons, which could be described as a vast improvement on the controversial blue and red halves seen on last years shirt. Featuring a blue v-neck collar, with yellow trim to compliment, this latest incarnation of the famous Barca jersey really does stand out from those of previous seasons. This latest shirt again features the yellow UNICEF logo with FC Barcelona badge above to the wearers left and the famous Nike tick in yellow to the wearer’s right. It also features the yellow and red stripped tag at the back of the shirt does well to represent Barcelona’s reign as Spanish league champions.

The beauty of this shirt you can imagine the likes of Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto’o and any Barcelona fan pulling on the jersey with pride, honour and a feeling of style, while still feeling comfortable, this latest shirt really does stand out in the crowd. Overall I would give this shirt… 4/5.
