Real Zaragoza have had a sponsorship deal in place with Telefonica since 2005 in one form or another and they have just renewed their sponsorship wit hthe telecommunications giants and this year they will be wearing Telefonica across the centre of their shirts.

Real Zaragoza won promotion to La Liga last season after finishing second in Liga Adelante. They started their return to the top league in Spanish football as they will be hoping to continue with a 1-0 win over Tenerife at home.

Telefonica are the their largest telecomunications company in the world and although they have their name across the sentre of the Real Zaragoza shirts this year it is expected that they will put some of thei other brands like O2 and Movistar on the shirts from next season.

Telefonica are offering the Real Zaragoza fans good opportunities for free match tickets and merchandise if they are also subscribers to Telefonica which could be an incentive for some fans to switch their mobile phone contract.
