Despite being English, I am a fan of Juventus mainly because of Pavel Nedved whom I admire greatly. I decided to get a shirt before he retired and I would inevitably lose interest. Here is what I found
Comfort
This is a very polished shirt and is smooth to wear. It is very light and this makes the shirt very good to wear whilst playing football as you do not overheat or get weighed down. It is also an okay shirt to wear around the house but it does seem to pick up smell very easily, so if you’re adverse to deodorant then you might not want to do that.
Style
The 2007/08 Juve home shirt saw the traditional yellow piping replaced with red, including red lettering. Thankfully, they’ve brought back the yellow this season which improves the aesthetics dramatically. There’s piping along the bottom of the sleeve and the bottom of the shirt, as well as the front of the neck. The shirt looks good around the neck, which is raised and goes into a dip at the front. The sponsor’s logo is also yellow, black and white which goes along with the general motif. The shirt is finished off with the 2 stars each signifying 10 Serie A wins (Juve were actually the first team to incorporate stars on their shirt - bet you didn’t know that!).
Durability
This shirt has survived many football matches and still looks very good. The shirt sponsor has stayed on and is showing no signs of peeling. However, due to the amount of white in this shirt, it is partial to some visible stains. But that depends on how much of a messy eater you are.
Nike
The shirt is made by Nike and the logo is in the traditional place and not almost on the shoulders as many shirt manufacturers are doing nowadays.
Value for money
It depends how you want to use this shirt. If you want this shirt mainly to play football in then I advise this shirt thoroughly; it looks brilliant, it’s very comfortable and very durable. However, you may want to stock up on anti-perspirant and/or aftershave if you want to wear it outside of the sports hall.
