Morocco were the first African team to win a group at the World Cup, They did this back in 1986 when they finished ahead of Portugal, Poland and England. They also became the first African team to reach round two of the competition the same year where they were put out of the competition 1-0 to eventual runners up West Germany.

Morocco unfortunately has not has as much success in recent years in the World Cup having not qualified for one since 1998.

The new Morocco home football shirt is the countries traditional green colour with red detailing on the end of the sleeves. There is also the star symbol on the right shoulder from the country badge with the badge being on the left chest.
