Youngster Marko Marin is in his first season for Werder Bremen after impressing Thomas Schaaf during his time at Borussia Monchengladbach. He is also breaking into the German national team and definitely one to look at for the future.
Style
Werder have had various styles for their home shirts but they opt for simplicity this season. It is green with white sleeves and darker loops at the collar and the end of the sleeve. There is a star above the badge which represents at least 3 titles (which is actually 4), and the shirt features the slogan of German bank Credit Mutuel which translates to ‘that’s how you do banking today’. The Werder Bremen home shirt features orange lettering, a colour which features in many of Werder’s shirts, and the name of the team is written underneath the number.
Nike
Once again, Nike manufactures the Werder Bremen kit, which means that quality is ensured. Because this is quite a simple design and rather unique colours you won’t find many shirts that have the same template as this, so once again Werder fans can be assured they will be wearing unique shirts.
Value for money
For me this isn’t the most stylish Werder Bremen shirt, but the simplicity does work to some degree. Credit Mutuel’s choice to include their slogan but not the company name doesn’t really work for me and to top this the price tag is quite large so I would only really recommend this to fans of Werder or of Marko Marin. During his time at Borussia Monchengladbach, Marin scored a hattrick in just 17 minutes. Show that you discovered this exciting youngster first by getting a shirt bearing his name.
