Despite not being the current champions, FC Basle are arguably the most well known Swiss football team in recent years. They participated in last seasons UEFA Champions League, but this year they will have to make do with the Europa League, having finished third in their league.

FC Basle’s home shirt is similar to the Barcelona home kit and this year, their away kit follows the design of the Barcelona away shirt from the 05-06 season.

The new FC Basel football shirt is neon yellow in colour. The jersey is manufactured by Nike while the shirt sponsors are Novartis (front) and Pirelli (back). Nike use Dri-FIT technology fabric that wicks away body perspiration and keeps the body cool during matches.
