Leicester won promotion to the Championship last year, topping league one. As they start their preparations for life in the Championship they have released details of their new 2009-10 away kit which will also celebrate their 125th year.
Joma are the manufacturers of the new Leicester away shirt with the brand name appearing in the centre of the shirt just below the collar and above the centrally placed club badge. As a result of Leicester winning league one last year they will be wearing gold badges to celebrate their win.
The new Leicester away football kit is black with a light blue band going diagonally across the shirt from one corner to the other. There is also blu detailing in the shoulders, sleeves, collar and around the bottom of the shirt. The new away shirt is very similar to the design first worn back in 1884 and the away shirt Leicester wore in the 2003-04 season which was the last season they were in the Premiership. To commemorate the 125th anniversary the shirt has the text ‘125 Years’ on the back of the collar and ‘celebrating 125 Years 1884-2009′ inside the collar of the shirt.
