Getafe managed to maintain their position in La Liga although they came close finishing 17th and even on points with Betis who were relegated.

Getafe have announced the release of their new football shirts for the 2009-10 season. The new Getafe kit will be manufactured by Joma with the brand having their name on the right chest and their logo on the sleeve.

The new Getafe home shirt is blue but features a band section at the top of the chest with red, white and blue in it. The home shirt is worn with blue shorts and blue socks.

The new Getafe away shirt is the same design as the home but is red instead of blue while the new Getafe 3rd kit is the same design only in white.
