CSKA Sofia finished 2nd in the league last season behing rivals Levski Sofia who are one of the biggest clubs in Bulgaria as are CSKA Sofia who are in fact the most succesful teamin the country with a record 31 league titles and 19 Bulrgarian Cups.

CSKA Sofia played the 2008-09 season with no sponsor on their shir afte their 3 year deal with Vivatel came to an end but they habve now signed a new shirt sponsorship deal with Globul a mobile phone company who already sponsor bot the national team and rivals Litex Lovech.

The new deal with Globul will be for two years aand is worth more than two million euros.

“We conducted negotiations with other companies as well, but it was Globul who were the most persistent. The company’s financial support will allow CSKA to fulfill its potential, not only on the the pitch but with improved marketing.” said CSKA Soia PResident Dimitar Borissov talking abou the new sponsorship deal.

“The partnership with a team of such magnitude as CSKA is an honor and a privilege for Globul. It a logical new step in our effort in support of Bulgarian sport and Bulgarian football.” said the Globul Chief Executive.
