The latest edition of the Getafe C.F. home kit produced by Joma has had a huge revamp from last season’s version, noticeably their sponsor, which is rumoured to have remarkably and most probably the first time ever, an additional Burgerking ‘King’ logo on the inside, upside down so that when players score and celebrate by lifting their shirt over their head, Burgerking do not lose out!!

The predominately blue home shirt with the laser effect design below the neck is a bit much for the eye, and is a design followed through with the away, third and goalkeepers kits; alternating the colours.

As with most Joma kits, it’s comfortable to wear and shapes up well with all sizes, but the stretch in the fabric can cause printing to crack over time. The badge sits quite high, which from experience is a good thing, less irritation around the pecks! The detailed stitching is again a bit much and would have been more appropriate without the laser design but as with most Joma shirts is reliably well made. I personally believe the sponsor’s logo is a touch too big, and adds to the busy detail mentioned above.

Met with mixed views from fans and locals the kit has not strayed from the clubs colours but as mentioned it does have a certain shock value to it, in its fine detail. One point I would like to make is Joma tend to make the body of the shirt rather long, not a problem if you are around the 6ft mark, but can be a bit baggier on shorter people.

This football shirt is a signature kit for Getafe CF and unlike the kit of past seasons, is unavailable at amateur club level. I would rate this kit 5/10, with its main downfall being the top half design, but overall a reasonable look, very well produced.
