Marseille finished an impressive second in the French league this year meaning that they will be playing Champions League football. They have started preparations for their assault on Europe by releasing there new away kit.

The Marseille away shirt is manufactured by Adidas with the Adidas badge being placed in the middle of the shirt. The shirt is a light blue colour with the slightly lighter blue check running across the middle in a band.

Marseille will be sponsored by Direct Energie for the 2009-10 season with the sponsor appearing in the middle of the checked area.

The 2009-10 season is a very important year for Marseille with this year being the 110th anniversary of the club, so they will be hoping that the new away football shirt brings them some luck.

   Personally I think this shirt looks nasty. The pattern looks as though the designer got his toddler into the office and let him loose with a blue pen.

   What is it with centering the badges? If they are going to do that then do both the club and makers logo. Don’t beat around the bush like they have done with this shirt.

   Wouldn’t wear this shirt if you paid me
   to.
