This Scotland away shirt (08/09) is one of the better releases in recent times. Manufactured by the Italian sportswear company, Diadora – they’ve had gone back to an old school, retro feel for the 2010 World Cup campaign. They’ve brought back the old kit of 1990 when Scotland qualified for the World Cup in Italy – navy blue shirt, white shorts and red socks.

The shirt is stylishly designed with its fake white collar and the Scotland badge, the lion rampant and Scotland flag, on the left side of the chest and the Diadora logo on the right. On the each sleeve, you will also find the Diadora emblem, which is a nice touch. The middle of the chest is left bare, which is ideal to get your squad number printed on the front, as well as the back. At the end of each sleeve and on the back, there is a touch of white with red trimming and you can also find the red trim at the bottom of the front as well. In terms of wearing the strip, it’s a very light strip to wear, slimline and stretchable too, ideal for zipping and slipping past your opposition on the pitch!

If you’re looking to buy the whole kit, then you won’t be disappointed. The white shorts are the inverse of the strip – white shorts, red trim with a touch of blue, with Diadora emblem and Scotland badge included as well. The socks are dark red with blue tops, a blue curving line coming from the calf to the shin. You can also find a blue Diadora emblem on the calf as well.

After a shaky start to the World Cup campaign and with other results going Scotland’s way, it’s in their hands now to qualify for one of the play-off spots for the World Cup. Good luck Scotland!
