The new AC Milan football shirt is one of the best I’ve seen for some time. It still has the classic vertical black on red stripes but this time it also incorporates a smart white collar which is a nice finishing touch. I think a collar always makes a shirt look better! The choice of white for the collar I think is particularly good because it goes well with the kit sponsor logo. Some shirts you see kit sponsor logo looking particularly out of place but I think you can tell with this shirt design that it has been given a lot of thought on that side of things. The manufacturers Adidas have done a very good job with the new AC Milan jersey. But then they do make a lot of football shirts these days so they should know what they are doing by now.

Milan are one of the most well known names in world football, with lots of success over the years, including a particularly dominant era when Capello was in change almost twenty years ago. The team’s football these days is very well organised and technical and a lot of that has been down to some of the star names they have had playing for them such as Ronaldinho, Pato, Pirlo, Maldini, Costacurta, Gattuso and of course Kaka.

In January 2009 they brought in David Beckham on loan from La Galaxy and he was on instant hit, showing he still has what it takes to play at the top level, scoring and creating goals a plenty. Beckham’s arrival has also led to a huge increase in sales of AC Milan football kits Initially when the move went through it was thought he would soon after move back to Los Angeles but Milan were so impressed that they asked him to stay for the remainder of the season. He went on to help them to improve on their previous league position. Beckham is always a good name to have on the back of a shirt, but having a Milan shirt with his name on is very tempting.
