Lyon currently have their kits manufactured by Umbro but after the 2009-10 season Adidas will manufacture Lyon’s football shirts. The club have announced that the initial length of the contract is for 10 years, so we are looking forward to seeing what ideas Adidas have for the Lyon kits next season.

The deal has a lot of benefits for Lyon including some performance related bobuses. Lyon will reveive a flat rate from Adidas as well as royalties from Lyon merchandise but as well as this if Lyon are succesful in the league or in Europe then the payments to the club will increase.
