Blackburn Rovers have started their preparation for next season early by releasing their new home football kit for the 2009-10 season.

Umbro will manufacture the new home shirt which will in the traditional blue and white colours. The shirt will be white on the right with a blue sleeve with blue on the left and a white sleeve. Crown paints will continue to sponsor Blackburn next season.

The club badge is on the left chest with the Umbro badge on the right.

The new Blackburn Rovers home shirt for the 2009-10 season is not quite available for purchase but is available on pre-order now.

   As far as umbro shirts go, and lets be honest their latest edition of the English shirt isn’t very good, this isn’t too bad.

   The main problem with this shirt is that Blackburns colours are quite iconic, so therefore there isn’t lot they can do in teams of design.

   This version seems far better finished then some recent adaptations. If I had to give it a make out of 10 it would be 9, and it only loses a point because I don’t support the club.

   Nice to see a proper v-neck collars and not one of those flimsy collars that a few shirts have had recently.

   Never been keen on umbro design. Very 90’s. Surprised they didnt design a shellsuit for the rovers to play in……..Mysterious girl etc
