The news was broke earlier in the week that Newcastle were changing their shirt manufacturers for the 2010-11 season and now Birmingham have jumped on the bandwagon and announced that their shirts will be manufactured by Chinese firm Xtep from the start of next season.
Many of you will not have heard of Xtep but they are apparently huge players in the Chinese market.
Birmingham City FC’s Vice Chairman, Peter Pannu added: “This is a fantastic deal for the football club. Not only is it a superb deal commercially, being the biggest sponsorship the club has acquired, but also on a brand level as it promotes the club internationally.
“Xtep are big players in the sportswear market in China and this partnership will expand the Birmingham City FC brand in the Far East.”
